He had just signed with Peter Gabriel's label Real World Records. Joseph moved to London to record his debut and I eventually found my way to LA. I saw him in 2000 on the Come To Where I'm From tour and was blown away by his magic voice and simply majestic manor on the acoustic guitar. When he came back to town in 2002 on his follow up Redemptions Son, I gave him my first full length disc O. Joseph called me a couple days later and was like,'this is awesome. end to end. I get it and totally dig the vibe, we should record together.'"

In 2003 Joseph went out to Y's home studio and sang back up vocals on tracks MARS and LAKE EERIE, the ladder being picked up in the jaw dropping independent movie MODIFY, which premiered at this years Tribecca Film Festival.
